Title: Cimmerian City Raven Blackheart is a young Crow Indian college student. One night, on her way home from school, she is attacked by a frightening creature. But is she, really? She wakes up in her home, uncertain what's real and what's only in her mind. That night, she and the love of her life, Jack, go out, but dreams become all too real when this time they're both attacked. Jack, however, loses his life, and Raven's heart is rent in two as death consumes her. We flash forward ten years. Raven awakens from a coma, pissed off and ready to fight. Enters Tyler Deamond, the head of the Tech Corporation, who explains to her that she's a half-breed now—half Dracin, a new age vampire, and half human. He has a plan for Raven, but the reader must wonder if Deamon's intentions are sincere or self-serving. Add characters Russell Li and Enos, and Cimmerian City kicks up a few notches to incorporate a wealth of colorful characters to keep you wondering who the good guy is and who the bad is. This is all mixed with entertaining fight scenes, secrets, and a new, bizarre world that humans once thought belonged only to them...or does it? Raven follows a path where friends are found and lost, and the truth about the Tech Corporation and Deamond comes to light. It seems that money is more valuable than peace, and the Tech Corp. owns it all. And so Raven must journey on, and in doing so, perhaps she can find a place where she belongs—if she can survive it.
